A charity evening in St Petersburg: art that brings hearts together

St Petersburg has hosted a charity evening that became a gathering point for people united by the idea of helping and taking part. It was held in the refined spaces of the Wawelberg hotel, which opened its doors to the guests and created an atmosphere where every detail served the main thing — the meaning.
The evening was the initiative of Alexandra Khristoforova — a member of the “Atlanty” business club, a trustee of the foundation and the owner of the leasing company “Peterburgsnab”. Her involvement and her genuine wish to support serious social projects turned the event from a gathering into a living space for dialogue, participation and real help.

The organisational and creative concept was delivered by the agency Team For Dream. The evening was built as a fine emotional story in the form of a “theatre of dreams”, where the stage and life interwove into a particular state of presence. Music, poetry, movement and live performance helped speak about what matters most — closeness, acceptance and home.
At the centre of it all was the charitable foundation “Parents’ Bridge”, which for 34 years, led by Marina Levina, has helped children find a family, supported adoptive parents and worked with families in difficult circumstances.

The money raised over the evening will go to the project “The Hero’s Path” — a programme that helps children and adults build trust, learn to be there for one another and become a real family through shared experience.
The charity auction had a special place in the programme. The lots brought together art, experiences, travel and the personal stories of the participants. Among them was a work of mine: a two-metre painting looking down on a ship under full sail with a captain at the wheel. The image became a symbol of moving forward, of choice and of inner strength. This was the lot that raised the largest sum for the foundation — vivid proof of how art can change reality.

The auction also featured a lot from Kirill Ostapenko, founder of the company “Velodrive”, which added to the overall palette of the evening’s initiatives and offers.
The event brought together members of the “Atlanty” business club and representatives of St Petersburg’s leading business communities. More than 70 guests became part of a space where ideas, opportunities and human involvement came together as one.

The evening was not only a platform for charity but a meeting place for people ready to act. When helping becomes the natural continuation of an inner choice, it is not only someone’s fate that changes — reality itself changes around you.
And perhaps evenings like this are a reminder: each of us is a little bit of a captain. And there is always a course that leads towards the light.
