In Your Hands

The body is open and calm. The bare breast here is about life and warm certainty, with no challenge in it.

The woman's left hand is slightly bent. A small gesture, and the deciding one: permission to be near.

The man is collected and strong. The pose holds no submission, it holds a choice.

The main layer is colour. Red and green pull apart a little and come together again, giving a stereo effect, a pulse between the bodies.

Red is heat and wanting. Green is the heart and acceptance.

The eye does not register the offset directly, the brain reads it as movement, and you get the feeling this is happening now rather than painted long ago.

I worked the oil so the skin holds light and gives it back softly, with no hot spot.

Its room is the bedroom.
