Which painting should you give for a wedding? One with two in it. A wedding painting goes into the couple's first shared home and stays there along with the memory of the day it was given.
A diptych makes this literal: two parts that only live together. “Yin and Yang” is two canvases of 120 × 90 cm, a gold flower on black and a black flower on gold, 300,000 ₽. When I wrote about it, I put it like this:
Yin and Yang are not a fight between good and evil. They are two principles that exist only together.
A smaller diptych is “Vibrations of Calm”, 70 × 50 cm in a gold frame, 40,000 ₽.
If you want a couple in the painting, there are two works at 70,000 ₽. “White Energy of Happiness”, canvas 100 × 80 cm: a man and a woman walking on white water under a golden sky. “In the Rhythm of the Future”, 110 × 90 cm: she sits on the edge of a pool, he looks up at her from the water, and all around is space.
The sea for two. “One for Two” from the “A Sea for Two” collection, canvas 120 × 100 cm, 50,000 ₽. The large work on the same theme, “Sea for Two”, 220 × 150 cm, is 1,300,000 ₽.
A smaller budget? “One Life for All the Love”, canvas 40 × 30 cm, 20,000 ₽. The same texture as the large canvases, the size of a card.
Do not know the couple's taste? Ask what they love: the sea, mountains, flowers. If even that is unknown, go for about a metre on the longer side. That size finds a place in almost any flat.
A large painting is awkward to hand over at the celebration. You can give an envelope with a photo of the work and a few words about it, and have the painting itself sent to the couple's home. Order in advance: a transport company delivers it, and its schedule does not depend on the studio.
