Infinity of life

I kept the figures tiny. A person here is the size of a finger joint, and that is the only way to show how much bigger the sea is.

The top of the work goes gold: sparks scattered over the turquoise gather into a cloud and run off the upper edge.

The infinity here is not philosophy. It is exactly what you see from the top of a dune: water with no end, and your own shadow on the sand.

A seascape painting in this format works upright, because the eye travels from the people up to the water.

Living room, study, the wall by a staircase. It needs three or four paces of distance; close up the vertical presses down.

The colour is quiet, and it sits with grey and sand-coloured rooms without any matching.
