Two small girls on the shore. One has waded in ankle-deep and is looking for something, the other stands beside her, watching.
“The Source Revealed”, 40 × 30 cm, mixed media with oil. Mini-art.
There is more sky here than land, and that is on purpose. The imbalance hands a person their real scale straight away.
The clouds are pulling apart with straight sunbeams coming through. The horizon is dissolved so delicately that where water ends and air starts is anyone's guess.
The first one is already in the water. Her movement is simple and says roughly this: I am allowed, the world is open, I can touch and choose.
The second is still on the sand. She is not passive, she is in that second when you can feel the step coming.
The format is nearly postcard-sized and it does not work as a postcard: too much sky for so small a plane.
It suits a narrow wall, a shelf, or a desk at eye level.
