In Flight

There are two aircraft in this one. One in the upper part, the second lower and further left, and between them a blue field with gold veins and white cloud.

Two aircraft in one sky change the meaning. Distance appears. Each is on its own course, and they do not see each other.

I ran the gold in thin veins on the diagonal, over the blue, before the resin went on. It went under the top layer, so now it shines from the depth rather than from the surface.

The white is gathered into dense vortices at the left edge and dissolves towards the right.

A square format hangs more easily than a long one: living room, bedroom, study, hallway above a chest of drawers.

This is one of the most affordable works in the series, and it is the one people most often start a wall with: they take the square, hang it, live with it for a couple of months, then come back for a second, larger one, and hang it alongside.
